Ides of March 3-15-07

A day in the Roman calendar, that marked the approximate middle of the month, i.e., the fifteenth day in the months of March, May, July, and October, and the thirteenth day in the other eight months.  It  may refer to the Ides of March, the date of Julius Caesar’s assassination
An Irish saint, better known as Saint Ita or Ida
A brand of malt liquor, “St. Ides,” named after the Irish saint; in turn, this beverage inspired the songs:
“St. Ides Heaven” by Elliott Smith 
“St. Ides” by the Wu-Tang Clan
“St. Ides of March”, by The White Stripes
