Today kicks off Live Earth – the organized event includes 24 hours of music across 7 continents and performances by more than 150 musicians. The goal of the concert is to inspire individuals, corporations and governments to take action to solve the climate crisis – and maybe, just maybe, rock your socks. You can watch it online – just don’t expect any Arctic Monkeys

Madonna’s effort has been posted on You Tube.

You can catch the concert on WNBC, Bravo and if you check out XM Satelite, they’re offering a 3-day special that gets you access to just about everything.

  1. I’m a bit conflicted about this. I think it is a great idea, but will it really get someone to not drive to work? I almost wonder how much pollution has been generated- all the travel, the concerts, the performances versus how much will be reduced. I’m not sure about any monetary aspects, but unfortunately I think this is just window dressing.

As adults with working brains, we all think that, but just doing the most minimal things makes a diff. You need your car to get around; NY’ers don’t. So why not just switch-out your light bulbs? You can start small and still cause a big ripple!
