Wrong Answer, Governor

“To gays and lesbians, flubbing the choice-vs.-nature question is like botching the answer to “What’s one plus one?”  So says JONATHAN CAPEHEART on his day-job for the Washington Post. (view the article here>>>)

Gov. Bill Richardson fumbles the sweetheart pass yet again in his attempt to clarify ‘What I really meant to say’ mea culpa to the LGBT nation by saying… “Let me be clear – I do not believe that sexual orientation or gender identity happen by choice, But I am not a scientist, and the point I was trying to make is that no matter how it happens, we are all equal and should be treated that way under the law.”

I’ve always been of the mind that candidates should be taken at their word based on their cummulative actions & their campaigns as a whole since mis-speaking is part of the game (i.e. Micheal Dukakis), however….  This one just smells like subterfuge and if he were to backpeddle and faster, he’d rip your short ‘n curlies out at the roots. It all stinks to high heaven.
