Tuggin’ at me once again

Our favorite porn star turned music act- Colton Ford , has just released his newest vid from the Tug-o-War album.  Though not overly impressed by the effort; (follow the link for the album; you won’t be disappointed) I’m posting it and other efforts from this debut album; for you to realise as I did, that there’s more to hm than what the labels feeding us. Enjoy.

Return of the Vadette

I found this really 80’s, morning after mix of La India and had to share it with you. If you’ve ever been to a circuit party; you’ll understand what the nusic represents. It’s 9:00am, the morning light is something you fear because of the commute home, the drugs are wearing off, the line for the coat check is a mile long and you never got the number of all the guys you wanted to see again. Somewhere.

It’s July 5th, It’s Saturday. The rain kept the illegal fireworks to a minimum and the papers aren’t leadng with stories of adolescent fingers blown-off. Its summer ’08. ENJOY!

Richard Vission

I’m sending this out to everyone because I want to share an amazing artist I think the world needs to hear…her name is Vassy.
I’ve had the opportunity to work with her and she’s truely special. Checkout the youtube clip of her live at my studio and I think you’ll understand…feel free to share with other peeps 🙂 “
Her music can be heard on “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Ugly Betty.”

Don’t piss off ‘Dot’

Just a bit of silly to kick off this historic weekend.  It’s a MadTV utube snippet that shows Dorothy Gale just the way we wish she’d have acted in the end. If you take the girl from Kansas, don’t drop her onto Christopher Street.  Amost 40 years ago, our sisters proved what a bad decision that could be. (take that, ya psycho glitter bitch!)

Have a great and HAPPY PRIDE everyone.

Told’ya it was pretty!!

If you’re fans of Amy Winehouse, or Duffy, or the other ’60s throw back pop singers invading the airwaves and your I-Pod lately; you must check out Jamie Lidell. The British techno soulman recently visited AOL’s The Interfaceand played a brief acoustic set featuring the songs “Another Day,” “Little Bit of Feel Good,” “Where’d You Go” and “Game For Fools.”

I was so impressed with this set from Jamie I had to bring it to you.  After listening to countless pre-release sample CD’s; I’m convinced that this is how all new studio albums should be released. He’s not to be missed and definitely the leader of this new ‘throw-back’ pack.

and here’s the hit.  No need to click the prick. http://www.zshare.net/audio/1413907623b4dc4e/

So unlike the ‘SISTA’

There’s a hot new performer about to make a very big entrance in time to make this a memorable summer.  Her name is Solange Knowles.  Yes, the sister of the rump shaker herself.  Her sound is totally un-Beyonce. and that’s a very good thing.  It’s a throwback to the soul-pop of the late sixties and seventies and you’ll want to visit I-tunes and grab the entire album because its that good.

As usual, clic the pic and enjoy the hit.

Pass the flag on…

Via Kelly at Rambling Along in Life…. He’s started what’s become a yearly tadition. He posts a flag representing Pride and requests that all his visitors, (daily or just passing through) post it on their own blogs as a show of gay solidarity. However, this year he’s asked that all who participate tell the story of their own transition into the greater family of man.  The out ‘n proud GAY ONE.

In contemplating this, I again realized what I’ve always known.  Mine was a cake-walk when put up against the stories we all tell of this pivotal moment.  I was the son of two progressive NY’ers who each had gay siblings who were out; and proud of it, long before my 1973 debut into ‘the life.”

The pain I caused myself anticipating how to broach the subject with the fam, was eased by my father who knew what I was experiencing- since my first crush was sent to a Kabul to study for the summer and I wore a new groove into Carole Kings ‘So Far Away’; he made sure I knew he understood and still loved me. Made sure I kept myself physically safe from the rest of the neighborhood and assured me that Avi would return and life would continue. He did, and it did.

I am a proud gay man on this special day when my brothers and sisters on the left coast, get their civil rights recognized come this afternoon. HAPPY PRIDE
